Urban Outfitters goes Bridal

If I were to marry again, of course with the same guy, I would opt to wear a less conventional dress, like this dress which is going to be part of the Urban Outfitters first wedding collection called BHLDN launched precisely on Valentine's Day. Their first collection will include shoes, bridesmaid dresses, vintage-inspired jewelry (now that's something I'll be interested to see), headpieces and lingerie. Later in May, they'll include tabletop items that cover basically everything you'll need for a wedding. Judging by this unexpected dress, I'll like.

Have a festive weekend!!

Sometimes...

And only sometimes, a powder room doesn't need a mirror. In a powder room like this where there is so may fabulous things to look at; who is going to be using a mirror to be looking at oneself?

Kelly, Written all over it...

Yet, nowhere else. Did she secretly do it?

mirror mirror

I'm looking to doing a mirrored wall in my house and my first option is to be doing it in an antiqued finish, which would give me that collective look I'm looking for in my house. But, I'm not willing to pay thousands of dollars for a 5 ft wide wall. Another option is to get pieces of mirrors and antique it myself but I really don't have the time or the energy for that. So, I think I'll start focusing on the benefits of a regular mirrored wall for its function. For example, you can actually see yourself in it without any flaws, it's brighter and I can always embellish it as much as I can.

Today's powder room

You didn't think I was going to do a series of powder rooms this week and NOT include J Crew's? I mean...look at those stripes.

The Versatility of Black and White

I was very surprised when I read the editor's letter in the recent issue of House Beautiful where Newell Turner said that in the 1940's blue was for girls and pink was for boys. Could you believe it? I think that now a days there is no specific color assigned for kids room but I can't really imagine a boy's room painted in pink, so to speak. I have to be honest and I do like to see men wearing pink shirt, but for as much as I love pink, I don't think I can ever convince my hubby in wearing a pink shirt, I have tried but he is just not that into it. Thank God, there's always black and white when it comes to decorating for the sexes. It's not only classic but it could also be modern for those who prefer modern interiors.

The Apartment by David Collins

I'm always mesmerize at David Collins use of soothing colors. In The Apartment at The Connaught Mayfair in London, Collins uses different shades of blues and lavender, very relaxing colors if you ask me; which is exactly what one should feel at a Hotel. Rumors are that you can even have the butlers arrange a private dinner party, with menus designed by a two-Michelin star chef. Now that's what I call a life. Would you like a cup of tea?

That's what I call a Vanity...

A daring powder room

Simply beautiful. This powder room some how reminds me of this Kitchen. Right...? I wanted to include the bottom image because it's amazing how much resemblance there is between them.
